6.9 on the Richter scale

Tonight 2.30am: Someone was shaking my body. I woke up, but nobody was in the room. Stupid neighbours from above! What are these kids jumping in the middle of the night? Damn the whole house is shaking! What are they doing?? It took me some time till I recognised: Earthquake! I jump up, out of the room, in the corridor I meet the others, running around, searching for light, waking up the others. Leave the house! Finding shoes?!? Oh my God!

It stops once we step out of the apartment (it stopped??? – I had sworn even half an hour later that it was still trembling). So we stay. Those of us who got up (you can also stay in bed and pray) were sitting in the corridor, radio on, waiting for some news. 6.5 to 7 on the Richter scale? Where is the centre. Pakistan border – again? The last and so cruel one was just some two month back, and this one seemed to be worse for everyone.

Later it luckily turned out that nothing really had happened. News spoke from 4 people injured in Jalalabad, nothing more, thanks God.
